InterContinental Opening Colombian Hotel

MIAMI - InterContinental Hotels Group PLC said Thursday it plans to open its first hotel property in Cartagena, Colombia.

The Holiday Inn Express Cartagena Hotel & Suites, which will be a 32-story mixed-use complex, is set to open in early 2010, IHG said.

Promotora San Martin Plaza will own the property, and IHG's Americas operations division, The Hotel Management Group, will manage the property under a long-term contract.
